Where I attend on the Sunshine Coast
- Workplaces across the Coast and hinterland, for disciplinary, performance, grievance, investigation and redundancy meetings
- Courts: the Maroochydore, Caloundra, Nambour and Noosa Magistrates Courts, and the District Court at Maroochydore, including QCAT minor civil dispute matters heard locally
- Mediation with private mediators, and at venues arranged by workplaces, lawyers or the Queensland Government's Dispute Resolution Centres
- Other appointments, such as university hearings, specialist appointments and agency meetings
I also cover Gympie, under an hour north, and travel to Brisbane for meetings there.
Why a local support person helps
On the Sunshine Coast, there's a good chance you know people in common with the person across the table. That's often why people don't want to bring a friend or a colleague. An independent support person keeps your circle out of it.
Being local also means I know the courthouses and how long it really takes to get across the Coast on a weekday morning. I'll meet you early, so you're not rushing in.
What a typical booking looks like
- You send a short request, or someone books for you, with the date, place and type of meeting.
- We have a free 15-minute call within one business day. You ask anything, and I send a written quote that includes any travel.
- You tell the organiser you're bringing an independent support person. I give you wording you can copy.
- We meet near the venue a little early, so you can settle and look over your own notes.
- We go in together. I take notes and ask for breaks if you need them.
- We debrief straight afterwards, and your typed notes arrive within 24 hours.
What I do, and what I don't
I sit beside you, take notes and type them up within 24 hours. I ask for breaks or for questions to be repeated, handle the little things, and debrief with you straight afterwards.
I don't give legal, HR or medical advice, speak for you, or act as your advocate. That boundary is what makes a support person welcome in the room.
Booking on the Sunshine Coast
Every booking starts with a free 15-minute call and a written quote. I'm available Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and weekends by arrangement. Short-notice meetings happen, so get in touch even if yours is tomorrow.
